4 Craft Ideas You’ll Love

When it comes to home décor, there’s nothing as special as something homemade. Crafted items are unique to you and your home, and give a personal touch that few other things can offer. 1. Printables

A new piece of wall art doesn’t have to be expensive! Printable wall art can be bought online at affordable prices…or you could create some yourself! Tools like PicMonkey and Canva allow you to create your very own bespoke designs – then all you need to do is print them! If you have a great home printer, that could work, and if not, just pop down to your local print shop. Then, pop in a frame and you’re good to go!

2. Rag bunting

If boho chic is your thing, then you’ll love rag bunting! And why should bunting be just for weddings? All you need for rag bunting is some scrap fabric, some twine, and a little a time. There’s a great tutorial here and it’s super-simple! What colours will yours be?

3. Wall decals

Wall decals are a fast and less irksome alternative to wallpaper, and can offer just as great an effect. There are two levels of DIY here…you can buy your wall decals and simply design their placement yourself, or you can go full-on DIY and make them from wallpaper. Simply find some wallpaper you love (it will need to have large images on it) and cut out some key shapes from it. Then stick to the wall in your desired pattern!

4. Washi tape photo frame

Washi tape is the crafter’s dream! Cheap, pretty, and versatile, there are so many uses for this paper tape. One of them is making DIY photo frames. Cover existing picture frames for a new and improved look (this works particularly well on glass, ‘frameless’ frames) or stick directly to your wall around your favourite pictures (just be careful when it’s time to pull them off though!).
