There are a multitude of colour choices to use in your home, from browns and creams to blues and whites. Some of us love monochrome minimalism, whilst others have colour in spades. Whatever your preference, we’re sure you’ll agree that there are a few ‘traditional’ colours that are commonly seen in homes, often in particular rooms. Blue, for example, is often our go-to colour for bathrooms. It’s easy to see why, of course, just like it makes sense that living rooms are often decorated in relaxing creams and rich browns for cosiness and comfort. But what about those more neglected colours that we see a little less often? We can think of a few that can look absolutely stunning yet we just don’t see enough of! Have we missed any?

1. Yellow

Yellow isn’t used enough, if you ask us. It’s the colour of sunshine, so what’s not to love? It looks particularly good when paired with grey. Check out our selection of yellow blinds here.

2. Purple

Often dismissed as an aging colour, purple can offer the prettiest of palettes. To bring it up to date, use it as a focal point on a stark white wall. Check out our selection of purple blinds here.

3. Green

Not just for outdoorsy types, green is the ideal shade for bring nature inside. Yet, we think it’s quite underused! How often do you see a bold green feature wall? Not often enough, if you ask us. Check out our selection of green blinds here.

4. Orange

With a reputation for being a little gaudy, orange really doesn’t get a fair deal. It’s actually a cheery colour that, styled well, can lift a room with a warm and modern style. Check out our selection of orange blinds here.
