How to Transform Your Bathroom Quickly, Cheaply & Easily

Practical

Redecorating any room in your home can be expensive and time-consuming, and the bathroom can seem particularly tricky to update without a full-on renovation. But there are ways that you can transform your bathroom from ‘well…’ to ‘wow!’ without remortgaging your home! It’s simply a few small touches that will make all the difference. Here’s how…

  • Paint the walls white. If you already have white tiles and a white bathroom suite, painting the walls white will only add to a clean, sparkling look. And if they’re already white? A little touch up wouldn’t hurt!

  • Accessorise with colour. Choose an accent colour to accessorise the room with. You might already have a colour in the tiles that makes sense to accentuate! Then, overhaul your bathroom accessories in your chosen colour, from toothbrush holder to towels, soapdish to bathmat, wall art to blind. This can create a stunning look on an all-white backdrop.

  • Remember the walls. Bathroom walls are often overlooked once the paint job is done, but we adorn the walls in the rest of our home with pictures, so why should the bathroom be any different? Choose wall art that suits the style of the bathroom and matches your chosen colour scheme. A little humour is always fun in the bathroom, and there are plenty of funny rhymes to be found!

  • Add luxury comforts. To make your bathroom truly a haven of comfort and luxury, you’ll want to add the extra little touches that make it homely. Your favourite bubble bath, some scented hand lotion, and maybe some Epsom bath salts too! It’s the little things that make the difference, after all!

  • Re-grout your tiles. Over the years, tile grouting can get grimy and, because the colour changes gradually over time, we often don’t even realise it until we re-grout and see the difference it makes! Re-sealing your bath can make a difference too and can help to eliminate mould build-ups.
