RECESS Fitting

A recess is the inset area of the wall that the window sits within. If you want your blind to mount inside the window recess, this is the option for you. Most people choose this style.

Note: with a 'recess fit' we will make slight adjustments to your measurements in order for the blind to fit inside the recess space.

EXACT Fitting

If you want your blind to cover the whole window recess or if your windows are flush with the wall (so no recessed space), this is the option for you.

Vane Width ?

Rigid PVC Vanes

Vanes (also known as slats or louvers) are the vertical strips that hang from the headrail, making up the vertical blind.

Rigid PVC vanes come in an 89mm width and are made from a solid PVC plastic, making them waterproof and blackout. Unlike standard fabric verticals, they do not require bottom weights or stabilising chain to limit movement in the window, making them more child safe. The vanes themselves have a slight curve to them, to aid with light reduction and are also rounded at the top and bottom. The solid PVC plastic makes them durable, hardwearing, easy to maintain and makes them ideal for bathrooms, kitchens or even healthcare environments.

Standard Headrail

Our standard headrail is available in white and is suitable for all vertical blinds and fittings. The ridge style design provides a classic finish and the slimline profile provides a discrete operation system, available with cord and chain or rod control option.

Deluxe Cruze Headrail

For an additional cost, you can also upgrade to our deluxe Cruze headrail, available in matt white, gloss white and anthracite (grey), with matching cords and components.

With a contemporary curved, lightly textured finish and enclosed components, the Cruze headrail is a smooth, streamlined option that will offer improved light control and a reduced 'stacking' when the blind is open, in comparison to the standard headrail. Available with cord and chain or rod control option.

Control Position ?

Control position is a personal preference but generally you should choose the side that is easiest to reach and operate from, or will cause the least obstruction.

If you choose a corded control option, you will receive a cord for tilting the vanes open/close and a separate cord for drawing the vanes to one side (your 'Bunch' option). These will be positioned on the same side, either left or right.

This Vertical blind is also available with a draw rod option (clear plastic wand) which would replace both the cords. You can twist the rod to tilt the vanes open/closed or manually pull the rod across the window to open or closed the blind. The draw rod is positioned to reflect your chosen 'Bunch' option so that you can draw the vanes to which side you select.

All our blinds are manufactured to be child safe so a control cord retaining device is sent out with the blinds to be fixed to the wall corresponding to the chosen control side.

Bunch ?

The Bunch option is the position the vanes (or slats/louvers) will stack to, when drawn to one side.

This is an entirely personal preference but you may wish to consider things such as if the bunch would obstruct the view or window in anyway or if you have a considerably wide window, you may want a split bunch so as to balance the bunching on each side.
