247 Blinds’ recent survey of 2,000 people found that 1 in 3 Brits have a side-hustle alongside their main job. Likely as a long-lasting result of the pandemic and uncertainty around job security, many of us have opted to supplement our income with different methods of earning. 

Our survey found that 38% of people have considered starting a side-hustle in the last two years and with the cost of living rising, side-hustles are becoming increasingly popular as a way to avoid financial stress – 44% of those surveyed with a second income said that they did so to reduce their money worries and that financial freedom is a major benefit.

Aside from the financial benefits of having a side-hustle, 31% of people said they did it for their own personal enjoyment – what better way to earn some extra cash than by doing something you love! Other common reasons listed included preparing for retirement and saving for children’s futures.

Brummies were the biggest side-hustlers, with 41% of those asked from Birmingham saying they had a side job, closely followed by Bristol and Manchester - perhaps surprisingly, all of which had more side-hustlers than the capital city.

We’re on the hunt for three side-hustle-hungry homeowners to display our 247 Blinds roller blind advert in their homes, spreading the word about our high quality window dressings around your neighbourhood. 

Successful applicants will receive our specially designed blind advert to display in their window for four weeks. The job will begin during the month of June and will take place in your own home – it’s as simple as just fitting the blind and displaying our ad for 12 hours a day!

This is not an offer of employment. You will be contracted by 247 Blinds, which involves adhering to the criteria set by the brand over the duration of 4 weeks, starting in June.  

All applications will be reviewed by 247 Blinds representatives, who will select 3 people to take part in the study. This decision will be final. 

The opportunity is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years and over, excluding 247 Blinds Ltd employees, their immediate families, their associated companies, their agents and anyone associated with the promotion either directly or indirectly.

Successful applicants will be contacted no later than 27/05/2022 to confirm their place in the study. 

Payment to a UK account by bank transfer of £1,000 to successful applicants will be made, no later than 10th July 2022, once the contract period is complete. 

No cash or alternative payments are available.

The chosen candidates will be liable for any tax payable on the cash prize if/where applicable.

The billboard blind must be visible from the outside e.g. be put in a window which is at eye level and participants will need to display the blind during the hours of 8pm-8am, 7 days a week for the 4 week duration of the campaign.

247 Blinds and their associated agency will agree with you, ahead of the advertising commencement, the provision and preparations of materials / equipment. This agreement will require the participants to display the advertising materials for the full duration of the contract.

247 Blinds will supply all materials, equipment and other accessories necessary for this job. 

All persons taking part must take reasonable care with equipment, materials and accessories to ensure they are returned in good condition and working order. 

The data obtained from the study, including details of participants’ professions, age and will also be used to create press and social media materials. 

You may be approached following the study by 247 Blinds’ press team with the request to provide feedback on your experience and /or provide a case study to be used in press releases and social media.

Candidates may be requested to participate in publicity arising from the promotion.

If due to circumstances outside the promoter's control, it is necessary to suspend, amend or cancel the promotion, the promoter reserves the right to do so and will inform participants by updating the application page on the website.
