Covid 19 Situation

Yes, we are experiencing huge demand and a delivery network working at a reduced capacity. We are working within the timescales quoted on the website, each product type varies so please look carefully at the days quoted. We will email you when your blinds go into production and again when they are about to be dispatched with more specific delivery information.

Yes, we are working normal hours 9am – 3pm weekdays. However we are extremely busy so we may take a little longer to answer the phone or to reply to your email, we will come back to you as soon as we can.

General

The company was founded in 2005 with the purpose of being the leading supplier of made to measure blinds in the UK. We have supplied millions of made to measure blinds all across the UK with a strong loyal customer base who love our products and prices.

We are based at APEX House, 172 Blackmoorfoot Rd, Crosland Moor, Huddersfield HD4 5RE, whilst we are an online retailer and don’t have a showroom as such, we do have a small amount of sample blinds we can demonstrate to you if you are in the local area.

Measuring

We simply need to know where you are fitting the blind - is it going on the inside of the window space (Recess) or on the outside of the window space (Exact). See Guide.

As the product is made to measure and made bespoke to your requirements we do not offer a return or refund policy. To assist those who could be nervous about this we offer a service called MEASUREGUARD. This must be taken out pre-order and if you were to make a mistake when measuring for your blinds for as little as 10% extra on the price we will remake your blinds in the correct size.

Product

We do get requests from people wanting a headrail only and the answer is yes, however we do not have the option on the website as we just need to check suitability/compatibility - Please contact us.

We do all we can to make our images as clear and accurate as possible and we employ a specialised team to produce all our images, we try to ensure 100% accuracy at all times. However, screens and resolutions can vary depending on your device so we always suggest ordering a FREE SAMPLE.

Ideally you want to be selecting blinds with a slim headrail as this will ensure maximum coverage of the glazed area - please see our useful measuring guide.

We supply all necessary brackets, however we do not supply screws/rawl plugs as each fitting location can vary widely. In most cases a decent rawl plug and 15-25mm self-tapping screws will do the job.

We offer blackout linings for our roller blinds and vertical blinds and for roman blinds there are a number of different options listed below:

Standard lining:
Polycotton Twill lining - 70% Polyester 30% Cotton
Colour: Ivory

Blackout lining:
3 Pass Blackout lining - Polycotton base with acrylic coating
Colour: White
Ideal for rooms where darkness is essential, such as bedrooms.

Thermal lining:
1 Pass Thermal lining - Polycotton base with acrylic coating
Colour: Ivory
Ideal to keep your rooms warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Interlining:
Bonded Twill interlining - 70% Polyester 30% Cotton with polyester fleece backing
Colour: Ecru
Energy efficient thermal lining with extra padding for a luxurious feel and look.

We are simply referring to the surface on which you are fixing the brackets - Top: Into the top of the recess/ceiling. Face: Directly onto the frame of the window/wall.

We have parameters for all blinds, the minimum is set to ensure all componentry fits within the head unit. The maximum is determined by the weight of the blind. Please ensure all measurements are in centimetres and that you are keying in the numbers only.

We believe our made to measure blinds are the best that you can buy. We are justifiably proud of the quality of our products and back them up with our standard 3 year guarantee. If you purchase motorised blinds then the Somfy components that include remote controls, battery chargers and motors come with a 5 year guarantee and please note that Somfy Lithium-Ion batteries and Hubs come with a 2 year guarantee.

We are an online retailer so do not have a traditional style showroom. However we have a small selection of blinds on display at our warehouse so you can see quality and function of them and we can get swatch samples of every product on our website for you to take away.

All our blinds are child safe. You will supplied with a P-Clip or Cord Cleat - this device is fitted as far away from the control mechanism as possible, this is covered in our fitting guides.

Our service is to supply only so the service to measure/fit is not a service we offer. Our useful guides should make the whole process nice and easy and in doing so our customers are able to make large savings.

As we are predominantly a made to measure blinds supplier there is no option to return the blinds you order. They are made bespoke for your windows and are not a product that can go back in stock and be re-sold. If you do bump into problems with your blinds contact us here and we will do our very best to help. We do have a really small selection of ready made products (mainly loft blinds) and these can be returned within 30 days. We will send a returns label and the service is FREE.

The website is designed in such a way that it will give you an instant quote for your blinds based on the blind and the sizes you input. Should you require something more bespoke such as a large order or trade requests we have a designated team to fulfil all quotes, they can be contacted on: 01484 443686 or 01484 443685.

We offer a FREE and UNLIMITED sampling service. Simply click on the product you like the look of and click 'order free sample'. Select as many as you like and we will send with Royal Mail 1st Class post.

We accept all the usual payment methods you would expect with an online website such as Debit/Credit card, Paypal, or BACS should you wish to send us money direct.

We are constantly monitoring our prices and are confident we are super competitive for like for like products with our competitors. However in the unlikely event you find something cheaper we will guarantee a price match, simply contact us so that we can honour this for you.

Our Care Team will always try to amend orders where possible, however due to the product being made to measure, we cannot always guarantee amendments can be made. As we are making products to order at speed, your blinds are often manufactured within hours of the order being placed.

Delivery

Delivery is FREE if your order value is over £169, any orders under the value of £169 are charged at £7.95 per order.

We cover the entire UK including Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and the Scottish highlands and Islands with no further delivery charge (anywhere else not mentioned may result in additional delivery charges). Please note that extremely large blinds or deliveries to any non-mainland destination may take an extra 1-2 days for the courier to ship.

We use a network of reputable couriers to deliver our blinds. TNT/DPD/DX/TUFFNELLS.

All goods must be signed for by an adult. Customers can manage their delivery via the courier and make necessary arrangements - all couriers will make 3 attempts.
