Valentine’s Day is all about expressing your love for your special person, and what better way to do that than by making your space more romantic for a date night at home? While helping you save some £££ too!

Here are some tips to get you on your way to a successful Valentine's Day:

1. First things first, have a quick freshen-up, put the clutter away and have a vacuum round to make sure you're starting with a fresh canvas.

2. Get creative with your lighting. Use fairy lights, candles, or lamps to create a cosy, warm and inviting atmosphere. This will make your loved one feel like you've gone the extra mile while keeping your electricity bill low, win, win!

3. Create a thoughtful playlist. Nothing adds romance like a little background music. Choose some of your other half's favourite romantic songs and create a special playlist that will last a few hours. This will win your some browny points for extra thought!

4. Accessorise with soft colours. Incorporate colours like pink, red, and purple. Blankets and cushions will give your home a romantic vibe. Did you know that the colour red symbolises love and passion?

5. Fresh Flowers immediately transform a house into a home, and adding that natural touch will leave your space feeling fresh not just for your date night but for days to come.

6. Incorporate special touches. Display a bouquet of roses, a box of chocolates, or a personalized gift for your special someone to make their date night one to remember.

7. Dress the table – make sure your table looks the part, by adding flower petals will create a restaurant feel in your kitchen.

8. A candle-lit dinner. Take the time to make a delicious dinner for your loved one. Pick their favourite dishes and pair them with a nice bottle of wine or some of their drink, this doesn't need to be an alcoholic beverage.

9. Pull out some of those old board games that have been collecting dust and add some fun entertainment to your evening.
