We're proud to introduce our first ever designer collection, brought to you by our Creative Director, Amy Wilson. This collection is celebrating bold design, bright colour palettes and making a statement at your window. The designs feature something for everyone, from the striking geometric patterns to more fluid and gentle mark making. Available in 3 show-stopping colourways this is the perfect way to inject some drama into your home.
Amy was really keen to bring you something new and exciting, designed and made in Yorkshire. We are also really proud to announce that for every blind or set of curtains sold from our brand new Amy Wilson Collection, we will plant a tree with Ecologi!

The Process
I spent some time working on a brief for myself and for the pattern surface designer whom I would work with to bring my ideas into reality. I reflected on the recent years of lockdown and the sense of new-found freedom we all have now we can travel again. Likewise, I wanted to draw on my own love of travelling and architecture by embracing design and shapes that evoke those holiday memories.
I am slightly nervous of elaborate patterns, tending to be drawn to colour instead, but knew I wanted to push my own design boundaries in this collection. I do love shape and more geometric designs, so we combined this with some softer curvaceous lines, inspired by the cool stone arched doorways of the villages of the Mediterranean.
I loved being involved in every stage of the design and development process, from the initial designs to choosing the colour palettes that reflected my style choice and carefully considering my fabric selection to ensure the best quality for our customers.
247 Blinds are carefully printing and hand-making this collection here in the UK which is something I was really passionate about and we are committed to planting a tree for every blind sold which is really important to us.
The Designs
My new collection brings you six designs across 3 striking colourways and there really is something from everyone. It is the beginning of our ambition for a window revolution - to make a statement of your window dressings. We have seen the feature wall, statement rugs and carpets, but now it is time for the windows to have their moment! So often the window dressings are the last design decisions people make in their home, and therefore homeowners often opt for our best-selling White Wooden Venetian Blinds.
With my collection, I am hoping to shake up the blinds market and create statement pieces that will bring your window to life and really enhance your home and I will continue to share some ideas for inspiration over on our socials.
The Inspiration
The collection features warm sunny colours, plenty of black references (every room should have some black) and some simple monochrome options for those who already have a colourful or highly patterned setting. My favourite design from my collection is the ‘Meander’ which features a freehand and painterly line which in the orange and nude colourway looks particularly sophisticated.
I have carefully chosen to present this collection on linen blend fabric. The linen style fabric perfectly compliments the Summer inspired designs beautifully.
I really want people to start thinking about the opportunities for window dressings and see this collection as a great starting point. Do not be afraid of patterns – embrace it and see your window as the new place in your home to make a statement. If you want a real designer look, consider layering up your window with Roman blinds and a pair of coordinating or contrasting curtains hung in front. The top trick of Interior designers and stylists is to have a single width of each curtain made up as dress curtains and just use the Roman blind behind in the evening.
I am looking forward to seeing the Amy Wilson Collection in the homes of our customers, and will be on hand with lots of advice and inspiration on how to incorporate them into your home over on our socials and blog.
