These wooden Venetian blinds have adjustable horizontal slats, so you can soften the sunshine, screen your room from passing eyes or lift the blind for a clear view. Choose lightweight real wood blinds for living spaces, explore the distinctive grain of bamboo, or try moisture-resistant faux wood for kitchens and bathrooms.

Find your favourite colour, choose your slat width and finish things off with decorative ladder tapes if you fancy a little extra detail. Choosing your wooden blind material

Choosing your finish is fun, but the material deserves attention too. Our wooden slatted blinds include real wood, bamboo and faux wood, each with its own appeal.

Real wooden blinds are crafted from sustainable Kiri Wood, showcasing natural grains and textures, and offering an authentic look. They’re ideal for a classic aesthetic and perfect for bedrooms and living spaces for a unique finish. Our real wood blinds are expertly painted with a satin finish.

For a different take on natural texture, explore our bamboo blinds, a lightweight alternative to our wooden blinds. Durable and stylish, bamboo woods have a subtle textured finish for an organic look with long-lasting durability as they’re moisture-resistant, too.

Speaking of water resistance, faux wood blinds use durable materials like HSPVC (heat-shrinkable polyvinyl chloride) and have waterproof slats, which make them more suitable for humid areas, as the risk of warping is reduced. Easy to clean and match with any interior, faux wood blinds are a great option when you want a real wood look with long-lasting durability.

Wooden blinds for bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces

For bathroom windows, faux wood is the practical pick. Our Ecowood range has waterproof PVC slats that can handle splashes and steam, with adjustable privacy for everything from your morning shower to an evening soak. Faux wood works well in kitchens too, where wipe-clean surfaces make life's messy moments a little bit easier.

In living rooms, real wood blinds add warmth and texture, while angled slats help screen a street-facing window without shutting out the daylight. Both real and faux wood can soften glare on a television or home-office screen.

Choosing bedroom blinds? Wooden Venetian blinds give you flexible light and privacy control throughout the day. Some light can still enter between the slats and around the edges, so pair them with blackout curtains if you like a darker room for sleeping.

Choosing your wooden blind slat width

Slat width changes the proportions of your blind. Narrower slats create more horizontal detail, while wider slats give you fewer lines and a more open view when tilted.

Our wooden blind range includes 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and selected 63mm slats, with availability depending on the blind. It’s a matter of personal preference, but we find wider slats can look particularly good across a large window, whereas a 35mm slat is a nice middle ground that suits most rooms.

Check the space around handles and the depth of your recess too, so the slats have room to turn freely. Our wooden blind measuring guide takes you through the measurements.

Wooden blinds with ladder tapes or cords?

The vertical strips running down some wooden blinds are called ladder tapes. They support the slats and add a decorative fabric detail, giving the blind a more pronounced striped appearance.

Our taped wooden blinds, including Deluxe designs, look premium and are a lovely option if you want to pick up colours from nearby curtains or furnishings. Standard braided ladder cords are less noticeable, leaving more of the slat finish on show.

Can you get no-drill wooden blinds?

If you don’t fancy drilling, you can skip it altogether! Twist\&Fit wooden blinds use a tension fitting inside a suitable window recess, making installation easier without reaching for the drill.

Perfect Fit wooden blinds attach to compatible window frames using brackets beneath the beading. Selected wooden blinds are also available with Stick Fit and Clip Fit systems. Follow the measuring and fitting guidance for your chosen system to check it suits your windows.

For standard installation, our wooden blind fitting guide walks you through the process.

Find your favourite wooden blind finish

Now for the fun bit: choosing a colour that feels right at home. Start with the colours and textures already in your room, from your flooring and furniture to the curtains you’re keeping.

White and cream keep things light, while grey or black gives your window more definition. Natural wood colours range from pale finishes to richer browns, so there’s plenty to explore.

Order free samples and try them beside your window, then take another look with the lamps on in the evening. Once you’ve found the colour and texture you love, we’ll make your wooden blinds to your measurements, ready to settle into their new home.

How do I clean wooden blinds?

Use your wooden blinds regularly to prevent dust build-up. Always support the blind with your hand when raising or lowering to protect cords/tapes. Light dusting is usually enough; for deeper cleaning, wipe with a damp cloth and hot water and avoid bleach or harsh cleaners.

    Can wooden blinds provide insulation?

Absolutely! Faux wooden blinds, due to their carbon-dense structure, act as insulators. They help in retaining warmth during colder months and keeping your room cooler in the summer months, meaning effective insulation all around.
