Malmo Deluxe, White Ash - Motorised Venetian Blind

• Decorative cotton ladder tapes are available in 25mm width on our Deluxe range.
• Slat width: 50 mm only
• Real wooden blinds are provided with up to 5 ladders at the largest available size for ample support & durability.
• Decorative colour co-ordinated wooden control toggles. The raise control will have 1 toggle, whilst the tilt will have 2 smaller toggles.
• Standard controls: Right-hand raise, Left-hand tilt.

Material Composition

Shino - Bamboo Range

• Slats: 100 % bamboo (2.20 mm thick)
• Bottom bar: Trapezoid bamboo, colour coordinated, Depth = 15 mm
• Pelmet: Chamfered valance (63 mm × 7.5 mm), colour matched to slats and attached using dual locks

Malmo - Paulownia Range

• Slats: Paulownia wood (2.75 mm thick)
• Bottom bar: Trapezoid paulownia wood, colour matched, Depth = 15 mm.
• Pelmet: Contour valance (64 mm × 8 mm), attached using dual locks

On Measuring

• Headrail is colour-coordinated and Headrail size: 41 mm (H) × 59 mm (D) for Bamboo (Shino) / 42 mm × 59 mm for Paulownia (Malmo)
• Box brackets: 65 mm deep × 47 mm high (colour coordinated metal)
• Support brackets: Fitted on blinds with 3 or more ladders; one additional per extra ladder as width increases.
• The pelmet is made to suit the type of fitting. For a recess fitting, the pelmet is made to the width ordered so it sits inside the recess. For an 'exact' fitting, the pelmet is made 3cm wider with mitred edges to cover the brackets.

• The number of ladders or tapes shown in the images are for illustration purposes only. The width of blind ordered will determine how many tapes are a part of the blind.
• The blinds may be made with 2-3 extra slats on the bottom to ensure full coverage of the window.
• All our blinds are manufactured and supplied to be compliant with child safety regulations. As part of this compliance, all control cords and chains will be made to a maximum of 1 metre. If you need to discuss this, please contact us.

Motor Types & Compatibility

• Tilt & Lift Motorisation is available only on 50 mm slats without decorative tapes (string-ladder blinds).
• Tilt-Only Motorisation is available on 50 mm taped wooden blinds.
• The tapes would otherwise interfere with the raise/lower mechanism, which is why these blinds are limited to tilt-only operation.

Operation & Controls

• Motorised blinds are supplied as standard with a Somfy motorised control unit on the right-hand side of the headrail.
• Where the operation is Tilt Only, the raise/lower function remains manual, operated via a cord control (also on the right-hand side).
• Where the operation is Tilt & Lift, the blind is fully motorised — there is no lift cord.
• Each blind is supplied with a Somfy remote control unit as standard (single channel).
• The system is compatible with Somfy wall switches and Somfy TaHoma / Zigbee smart-home hubs, allowing smartphone and voice-control operation.

Power Supply

• Motors are powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack, available in single-mount or dual-mount configurations.
• Expected battery life: 1–2 years (single-mount) or 3–4 years (dual-mount) depending on blind size and use frequency.
• Battery packs are external and can be charged using a Somfy USB charger (sold separately).
