What are Clip Fit Blinds?

As homes modernise, with better insulation available for the roof, walls and more importantly windows and doors, we've created the perfect blinds for your uPVC and aluminium windows and doors.

One of our best-selling blinds for doors, conservatories and uPVC windows were our Neat Fit blinds.  Designed to use the window beading to slide the bracket neatly underneath and affix to the window pane, Neat Fit blinds were a fantastic product that allowed a no-drill, no-screw way of window dressing.

We looked a this product and thought of ways we could improve it, so we’ve upgraded the range into Clip Fit blinds.  Still using the window beading to fit to the pane, these blinds are an upgrade to an already great system, in the same fantastic fabric and slat colours.

Are Clip Fit Blinds suitable for my window?

Any uPVC window or door, even aluminium ones, providing they have a compressible window bead/gasket seal, could be suitable for a Clip Fit Blind.

Check your suitability by inserting something like a blunted butter knife into the seal, however ensure not to force it — If your windows are old and have a solid seal, then your windows aren't suitable, unfortunately.

Providing you have a depth of more than 17mm (simply mark and measure the knife depth) then you're ready to go!  If you have any other objects in the way — Such as vents or handles, then get in touch with us and email over your sizes.

- Checking that your window beading compressed, and to the correct required 17mm minimum depth is super important!

How do they differ from Neat Fit Blinds?

Clip Fit Blinds have a few differences when compared to the older Neat Fit model, these are:

• Use four individual corner brackets, separate from the blind itself, which slides under to the window beading.  The blind then mounts onto these corner brackets to fit.

• Individual side channels, which use adhesive strips to stick to the window pane, are used to ensure a secure, durable fit.  These channels also help block the usual light bleed you see around blind fabric or components.

• Require a window beading with a depth of at least 17mm to be able to fit.

However, you can still find the same great fabrics and slat colours available to buy - We've just changed the system!

Can I still fit to my Bi-Fold Doors?

Yes you can!  Clip Fit Blinds are suitable for a Bi-Fold Door, there are a few things you need to account for however:

  • Clip fit blinds need a clearance of at least 32mm, as this is the depth from the glass to the front of the adjustable operating handle.  Ensure you have enough room with this depth to be able to fully 'stack' or fold the door open.
  • If you have handles in the way — Get in touch with us, advising of your measurements and where the handles are placed.
