The Vane is the vertical strip of fabric that your Vertical blind is made from. This can also be known as a vertical slat or louver.

On select blinds we offer an 89mm or 127mm vane width:

• 89mm vane - typically considered the standard size and is by far the most popular and will suit any window size.
• 127mm vane - a wider vane that could be better suited to very large windows. It also means that the blind could be made with fewer vanes (as it takes fewer of them to cover the window) and therefore may have a narrower bunch/stacking.

This is an entirely personal preference but as a general guide you should want to try match the size of vane to the size of your window.

Also, consider the depth of your window recess, for example; if your window recess has a depth of 90mm, then a 127mm vane would protrude out slightly so an 89mm vane would be a better choice in this example.
