247 Pro Tips: 

• If your recess depth is 100mm or less, or your window opens inwards, we recommend an exact fit. This allows space for the blind and the external battery pack (clipped to the back of the headrail).
• For recesses over 60mm, the choice between recess or exact fit is mostly down to personal preference.
• When measuring inside a recess, check for obstructions like tiling or picture rails. Measure between any tiling to ensure a neat, snug fit.
• For the best exact-fit result, allow the blind to overlap the recess by at least 35mm on each side. We’ll make the blind to your measurements; brackets add an extra 3mm overall.

Additional Information:

• Wooden Venetian blinds are available with 50mm slats, so bear this in mind when choosing placement—especially for recess fits.
• If your recess is 100mm or less or the window opens inwards, fitting outside the recess may be better, as the external battery pack requires at least 40mm clearance behind the headrail. For recess fittings, simply provide the full recess size—we’ll make the necessary adjustments. We deduct 10mm from the width of Wooden Venetians.
• If you prefer to make your own allowances, choose exact fitting instead of recess fitting during checkout.
