4 Ways to Display Your Books

If you love books, then you might be the kind of person who wants to be surrounded by them at all times! That means in every room and at every opportunity. We believe the term is bibliophile! So how can you display your books in a stylish way in your home? We’ve got a few ideas that we think you’ll love!

1. Ladder

Ladders are fantastic at doubling as bookshelves, plus they can add a gorgeous shabby chic or vintage vibe. Upcycle an old wooden ladder or stepladder with some wax or paint, and stand it in a prominent point in your home. Then add books, ornaments, and whatever other décor you’d like for an unusual but striking feature. Don’t forget to make sure it’s safe for any kids or pets running around of course!

2. Floating shelves

There are two ways of displaying your books via floating shelves. One is to hang some floating shelves and make a pile of your best-looking books on top. The other is to make the books the floating shelves themselves! Here’s a great tutorial on how to do it.

3. Crates

An upturned crate will double as a great coffee table or lampstand as well as a way of displaying your books. Stand it vertically and fill with your books, then place your lamp or ornaments on top. Cheap and simple!

4. Book table

Turning your books into a coffee table means that you always have a stack of great reads at your side! You’ll need to get the sizing and levels right so this can take a fair bit of work, but the effect can look amazing! Don’t forget to add coasters or even a square piece of fabric to the top to avoid coffee rings on your favourite books! Oh, and ensure that it’s sturdy and safe, of course.
