4 Ways to Display Your Trinkets

When you’re all set to welcome a new arrival there’s perhaps no better time to breathe a little new life into the nursery. If you’ve used it before for your other little bundles of joy then it may need a lick of paint, and if it’s the first time then why not take a step back and think about a few of our ideas?

1. Introduce a new theme

Too many young parents get into the trap of one theme for little girls and one for little boys. Get the balance right however and you can find something that works for both. As a parent you’re going to be spending many hours changing nappies, singing lullabies, and rocking Moses baskets in the nursery. So why not pick a homely theme that makes you smile too? Woodland animals make for a colourful and lively theme that allow you to introduce your little one to a whole gang of cuddly critters. Now there’s some food for thought!

2. Warm white light

Light is so important when you want to create a homely atmosphere, and there’s more to it than installing the right blinds. Opting for warm white lightbulbs and fairly lights is a great alternative to the brilliant white bulbs that so many of us buy without a second’s thought. The welcoming glow will make you feel relaxed in the summer and warm and snug in the winter. Ideal for getting your new arrival off to sleep.

3. You can't beat a rug

We love the idea of a stained wooden floor with a big soft rug in the middle. That way you can enjoy plenty of cuddles as your little one starts playing and crawling around. Ideal for spending that quality time together that every parent cherishes.
