Are you a night shift worker that finds achieving daytime sleep a nightmare? Do you work five or more night shifts per month? Would you be interested in taking part in a study to discover how you could improve your sleep during the day and catch up on those much-needed Z’s?

If you answered a sleepy, yawn-induced YES to all of the above, our new job vacancy entitled Professional Sleeper might be right up your street! 

We are on the hunt for five tired shift workers, of varying ages and professions, to take part in our sleep study to help us understand more about the nuances of daytime sleep. This will in turn inform future development of our blackout blind product range. 

You will be provided with sleep monitoring equipment for the duration of the study. Your sleep will be tracked using an unobtrusive device that will monitor your blood oxygen and heart rate, so literally all you have to do is sleep the day away - sounds dreamy right?! 

The study will begin during the month of October at your own home following 10 separate night shifts, during which you will undertake a pre agreed schedule of tests including a variety of bedtime preparations which could include; temperature, light, sound, diet and sleep aids, where your sleeping patterns will be analysed. This will be established in conjunction with you and our sleep expert at the start of the study.  

All materials and equipment will be supplied by 247 Blinds, and collected following the study.

This is not an offer of full-time employment. You will be a Professional Sleeper for 247 Blinds, which involves adhering to the criteria set by the brand over the duration of 10 days in October.

The role is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years and over, excluding 247 Blinds Ltd employees, their immediate families, their associated companies, their agents and anyone associated with the promotion either directly or indirectly.

Successful applicants will be contacted no later than 25th October 2021 to confirm their place in the study. 

Payment of £500 to successful applicants will be made, no later than 30th November 2021, once the study is complete. 

No cash or alternative prizes are available.

The chosen candidates will be liable for any tax deductions on the cash prize where required.

247 Blinds and associated sleep experts will agree with you, ahead of the sleep monitoring commencement, a schedule of tests using different conditions, preparations or materials / equipment. 

247 Blinds will supply all materials, equipment and other accessories necessary for this study. All materials, equipment and accessories are returnable and will be collected by 247 Blinds via courier service. 

All persons taking part in the study must take reasonable care with equipment, materials and accessories to ensure they are returned in good condition and working order. 

The data collected from the study will be used by 247 Blinds to inform new product development.

The data obtained from the study, including details of participants’ professions, shift patterns, age and general health, will also be used to create press and social media materials to share the results from the study. 

You may be approached following the study by 247 Blinds’ press team with the request to provide feedback on your experience and / or provide a case study to be used in press releases and social media.

Candidates may be required to participate in publicity arising from the promotion.

If due to circumstances outside the promoter's control, it is necessary to suspend, amend or cancel the promotion, the promoter reserves the right to do so and will inform participants by updating the application page on the website.
