6 Extra Touches to Give a Guest Bedroom

If you have guests staying with you quite often, and you’re lucky enough to have a spare bedroom to lend them, then you’ll probably love the idea of making their space as cosy and personal as possible. Think boutique hotel but with your own personal style! Here are a few tips to make it happen:

 

1. Leave some fresh, folded towels on the end of the bed. It’s so welcoming and saves them having to ask you for them later.

2. Keep a jug of fresh water and a couple of glasses on a tray somewhere in the room. Nobody wants to go wandering in someone else’s house at midnight to get a drink.

3. Leave space in any drawers or wardrobes for guests to hang their clothes and keep personal items while they’re there. They’ll much prefer that to living out of their bags!

4. Add some fresh flowers in a small vase or jug. Your guests will appreciate the gesture and well, there’s always room for flowers!

5. Check the temperature in the room before they arrive. If your guest room, or the house in general, has a tendency to be either too warm or too cold, it’s good to make any adjustments before your guests’ arrival.

6. Keep a spare dressing gown just for guests and hang it on the door or in the wardrobe. People tend to go without when visiting others due to their bulky nature, so it might be really appreciated!
