Do you have the UK’s best lockdown view?

Whether you’ve been trying your hand at baking banana bread, exploring your local neighbourhood or simply enjoying a good brew as you gaze out of your window, many of us have been taking advantage of spending more time at home over recent weeks.

With life seemingly less busy right now, it’s the perfect time to take a step back and appreciate the little things a bit more. 

People across the UK have taken to Instagram to share some of their picturesque backdrops, with hashtags such as #viewfrommywindow seeing over 345,000 uses on Instagram, #windowview seeing over 887,000 uses and #viewfromhome seeing over 76,000.

To celebrate Britain’s fantastic lockdown landscapes, we’ve launched a competition to find the UK’s most beautiful view. Whether it’s a breathtaking shot of the countryside on a sunny afternoon or an impressive cityscape at dusk, we want to see your lockdown views.

We’ll be giving away a voucher worth £150 to the lucky winner, which can be spent on/towards one of our blinds to make your window really stand out. To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is submit a photo of the view from your window below, along with a caption to describe the view and your location in the UK. 

The competition starts on 2nd June 12pm and ends on 23rd June at 12pm and we’ll be announcing the winner within 14 days of the closing date.

Terms and conditions

1. The promoter is: 247 Blinds whose registered office is at Unit A, Trident Park, Neptune Way, Huddersfield, HD2 1UA.

2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of 247 Blinds and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation.

3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

7. Closing date for entry will be midnight, 23rd June at 12pm 2020. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

9. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

Submit a photo of the view from your window including a short description and your location in the UK via the 247 Blinds blog.

10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

11. The prize is as follows:

• £150 to spend on/towards a product of your choice on the 247 Blinds website 

12. The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value, without giving notice.

13. The best image entered will be deemed the winner, as decided by the Promoter.

14. The winner will be notified by email within 14 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

15. The promoter will notify the winner when and how the prize can be redeemed.

16. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

18. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

19. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
