Take 3 width and 3 drop measurements. Use the smallest of each.
Check for tiles, picture rails or obstructions. If the bottom is 20mm or less narrower than the top, use the top width.
Recess depth 60mm or less or inward-opening window? Choose Exact fitting.
For Exact fit, allow 35mm overlap each side. Brackets add approx. 3mm.

Additional Information

Fabric is 35–40mm narrower than the overall blind width (control side allowance).
For Recess orders, we make the necessary deductions (including 3mm on roller blinds).
Prefer to make your own allowances? Select Exact.
Side fixing inside a recess? Measure across the top and choose Exact.

How does the motorised blind work?

Motorised operation removes the need for a control chain. Simply use the included remote control to raise, lower, or stop the blind smoothly at your preferred position.

Is a remote control included?

Yes — every motorised blind comes with a remote control (one per blind) and a wall holder for convenient storage.

Does the blind need charging or batteries?

The motor is powered by a rechargeable built-in lithium-ion battery, so no wiring is required.

How do I charge the blind?

The motor connects to any USB-C cable for easy charging. Please ensure the wall plug used has a 12V output. Charger and plug sold separately.

How long does the battery last?

Battery life depends on how often you use the blind, but a full charge typically lasts for months with normal daily use.

Is the motor noisy?

No — the motor is designed for whisper quiet performance and smooth movement, ideal for bedrooms, nurseries and living spaces.

Is this blind available as Twist&Fit?

Yes — motorised operation is available on both Standard and Twist&Fit roller blinds, giving you the option of a fast, no-drill installation where suitable.

Will my window be suitable for Twist&Fit?

Twist&Fit roller blinds require a recessed window with a minimum recess depth of 52mm. They’re designed to fit snugly within the recess for a secure, drill-free fit.

Is a motorised blind child-safe?

Yes — because there’s no hanging chain or cord, motorised blinds are a safer option for homes with children and pets.

What fabric should I choose?

Choosing the right fabric depends on the room and the level of light control you need. Blackout fabrics are ideal for bedrooms, nurseries and home cinemas, as they block 100% of direct light through the material for improved sleep, privacy and relaxation. As with all roller blinds, a small amount of light may still enter at the sides due to natural gaps between the fabric and the window frame.

Dimout (light-filtering) fabrics are perfect for living rooms, kitchens and home offices, as they soften daylight and reduce glare while still allowing natural light into the room.

• The Verona Blackout range comes with a white backing.

• Roller blinds are supplied as standard with a sidewinder control unit. The operation is through a white plastic beaded chain used to raise and lower.

• All blinds are mounted on a strong aluminium tube – 32mm in diameter. We introduce a 40mm tube for larger blinds where necessary.

• All brackets are painted white over metal – 45mm width x 65mm length.

• The bottom finish of the blind will be a straight finish. This will be finished with either a ‘stitched bottom pocket’ or a heat welded seam, with a plastic bottom lathe, dependent on the suitability of the fabric.

• Please note that the cloth width is 3.5 - 4cm narrower than the overall cassette width to allow for the control component. We always manufacture based on full blind width, not fabric width.

• All items are cut to size and will be accurate with working tolerances and variances of +/-5mm.

• All our blinds are manufactured and supplied to be compliant with child safety regulations. As part of this compliance, all control cords and chains will be made to a maximum of 1 metre. If you need to discuss this, please contact us.

•All roller blinds are produced with extra fabric added to the drop ordered. This is to ensure that there is enough material to conceal the metal tube when the blind is full down/closed. This is normal and standard practice throughout the industry.

On Standard Roller Finishes, Fixtures & Fittings

• All blinds are mounted on a strong aluminium tube – 32mm in diameter. We introduce a 40mm tube for larger blinds where necessary.

• Choose your chain type, from durable plastic to stylish chrome. The ball chain size will be 4.5mm.

• All brackets are painted white over metal – 45mm width x 65mm length.

• The bottom finish of the blind will be a straight finish. This will be finished with either a ‘stitched bottom pocket’ or a heat welded seam, with a plastic bottom lathe, dependent on the suitability of the fabric choice.

• All items are cut to size and will be accurate with working tolerances and variances of +/- 5mm.

• Roller blinds with a width greater than 180cm and a drop greater than 164cm MAY have a horizontal seam due to fabric width / design.

• Cloth width is 3.5— 4cm narrower than the overall bracket to bracket (exact) width to allow for the control components.

• The chain drops come as an endless loop with a safety P clip. The sizes for these are as follows:-

Twist&Fit Roller Blinds

• These blinds are designed as a drill-free, screw-free solution for fitting roller blinds. Brackets are not required, and you can fit these blinds in a matter of seconds.

• Available under the “recess” fitting option only under the relevant products.

• Twist Fit Roller blinds are supplied as standard with a sidewinder control unit. The operation is through a 4.5mm chrome beaded chain used to raise and lower.

• These roller blinds are produced the same way as a standard roller, though unlike roller blinds the tolerance of -3mm is not made for the recess due to the adjustability of the fitting.

• The twist cog can be used to adjust the tension.

On Twist&Fit Roller Finishes, Fixtures & Fittings

• Twist&Fit Unit is made from POM & PEM materials. This provides a durable, moisture-resistant component.

• The Twist End at its largest point (the cog wheel) has a width of 5.1cm | The external pad is 4.1cm width & height. | The distance from the end of the piece to the roller tube is 3.5cm, and when compressed at is smallest is 1.9mm to the tube.

• Sidewinder End is provided with a chain cover. Please do not attempt to remove this cover.

• The sidewinder end at its largest point is 5.1cm width & 6.4cm height.

• Only available on a 32mm diameter tube.

• All items are cut to size and will be accurate with working tolerances and variances of +/- 5mm.

• The bottom finish of the blind will be a straight finish. This will be finished with either a ‘stitched bottom pocket’ or a heat welded seam, with a plastic bottom lathe, dependent on the suitability of the fabric choice.

WARNING

Motorised blinds with 'Raise/Lower' or 'Tilt & Raise/Lower' operation will be supplied without any control cords. Motorised blinds with 'Tilt Only' operation are supplied with a control cord for Raise/Lower operation. As part of child safety compliance, any and all cords provided with our products will be made at a maximum length of one metre.
